A. Personal Statement
I have been working as a Professor of Medical Parasitology since 2003, and I am a
member of High Council of Science at Gulhane Military Medical Academy, Ankara, Turkey.
As a dedicated and hardworking medical parasitologist, I am performing research on
complementary medicine such as maggot therapy and apitherapy since 2002 in my hospital.
I have publications about apitherapy. I have worked as a member of commission for
“Regulation on Traditional and Complementary Medicine Practices” of the Ministry of Health
of Turkey for the last three years. Also, I am a member of scientific commission of Traditional
and Complementary Medicine Practices of the Ministry of Health of Turkey.
