he 5th IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies (ISGT) European 2014 Conference, sponsored by IEEE Power
& Energy Society, will be held on October 12-15, 2014 in Istanbul. The conference will be hosted by IEEE PES Turkey
Chapter and Istanbul Technical University (ITU).
ISGT Europe 2014 Istanbul will be a platform for the participants from the academia, electric utilities and industry to discuss the
cutting-edge innovations in the smart grid and associated technical developments to transform the existing grid into a smart grid
including an increasing number of distributed energy resources and storage facilities.
ISGT Europe 2014 Istanbul will cover keynotes, plenaries sessions, panel discussions, paper and poster presentations, and also tutorials
by worldwide experts on smart grid and related technologies. The researchers and practitioners around the world are kindly invited to
submit papers for ISGT Europe 2014 Istanbul.
Paper Submission
Authors should submit the full paper up to six A4-sized pages in length, including figures, tables and references until May16, 2014. The
paper should be written strictly in accordance with the PES Author’s kit. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference before
they can be included in IEEE Xplore.
Authors will be informed about the final decision regarding their papers on July 11, 2014. Authors of the accepted papers will have
time to submit their final manuscripts till August 8, 2014.
Tutorials / Panels
The conference will present tutorials and multi-track panels on smart grid topics and related technologies. If you are interested in
offering a tutorial or organizing and chairing a panel at ISGT Europe 2014 Istanbul, please contact the Conference Chair, [email protected]

The conference venue for ISGT Europe 2014 Istanbul is the Suleyman Demirel Cultural Center at ITU.
