Sažetak
The study was conducted on a sample of 65 judo competitors aged 16-19 years with a goal to determine the relation
between situational-motor abilities and elements of judo
technique. A system of 13 variables of situational-motor
abilities and 8 variables of judo technique elements was
implemented. Research has found that there is a statistically significant correlation between situational-motor
abilities and elements of judo technique, in both isolated
pairs of canonical factors.
Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 65 džudista uzrasta
16-19 godina sa ciljem utvrđivanja relacija između situacionomotoričkih sposobnosti i elemenata tehnike džudoa. Primjenjen je sistem od 13 varijabli situaciono-motoričkih sposobnosti i 8 varijabli elemenata džudo tehnike. Istraživanjem
je utvrđeno da postoji statistički značajna povezanost između
situaciono-motoričkih sposobnosti džudista i elemenata
tehnike džudoa, kod oba para izolovanih kanoničkih faktora.

Introduction
Uvod
The development of modern judo is characterized by intense
changes of its technical and tactical characteristics. New
competition rules change the character of the competition
and put greater demands before judo competitors. Among
the technical and tactical determinants of contemporary
champions in judo there is more pronounced diversity of
technical, tactical combinations, forcing the insurgency,
modification of individual interventions, persist in the attack
regardless of risk, etc. These technical - tactical features of
judo competitors cannot be built just by the traditional
methods of training. Method of implementation of training
and training needs have to come out of the traditional
framework to adapt to current and future demands of sports
practice (Dragic, 1996).
Judo sport is characterized by the mastery of skill to achieve
victory over an opponent in a struggle over the two-sided
attack. Advantage in a fight has a fighter who knows judo
technique, known to maintain his balance while distracting
opponent’s balance and benefits of mistakes occurred while
performing the procedure (Drid, 2005).
Razvoj savremenog džudoa karakteri{u intezivne promjene
njegovih tehničko-taktičkih karakteristika. Nova takmilarska
pravila mijenjaju karakter borbe i postavljaju sve veće zahtjeve
džudiste. Među tehničko-taktičkim determinantama savremenih {ampiona u džudou sve je vi{e izražena tehnička
raznovrsnost, taktička kombinovanost, forsiranje protivnapada, modifikovanost pojedinih zahvata, istrajnost u napadu
bez obzira na rizik i dr. Ovakve tehničko – taktičke karakteristike džudista ne možemo graditi samo sredstvima tradicionalnih metoda obuke i treninga. Način realizacije obuke
i treninga treba da izađe iz tradicionalnih okvira, da se
prilagodi sada{njim i budućim zahtjevima sportske prakse
(Dragić, 1996).
Džudo sport karakteri{e majstorstvo u umje{nost da se ostvari pobjeda nad protivnikom u međusobnoj borbi tokom
obostranog napada. Prednost u borbi ima borac koji dobro
vlada džudo tehnikom, zna da održava svoju ravnotežu, a
da istovremeno remeti protivnikovu ravnotežu i koristi gre{ke
pri izvođenju zahvata (Drid, 2005).

The aim of this study is to determine the relations between
situational - motor skills and elements of judo techniques.
Cilj ovog istraživanja je utvrđivanje relacija između situaciono – motoričkih sposobnosti i elemenata džudo tehnika.
Methods

Sample of entities
Uzorak ispitanika
The sample makes 65 judo competitors aged 16-19 years
who are at least two years in judo training.
Uzorak ispitanika čini 65 džudista uzrasta 16-19 godina, koji
su najmanje dvije godine trenirali džudo.
Sample of variables
Uzorak varijabli
Variables for assessing situation-motor skills are: skipping
and crawling (SPMPIP), skips on supporting leg (SPMPSN),
the movement on the stomach pulling by hands (SPMKTR),
agility on the floor (SPMONT), moving on the back, head
forward (SPMLGN), falling forward over the partner (SPMPNP),
toss with knees (SPMBSK), moving on the back, feet first
(SPMLNN), uchi komi – tai otoshi (SPMUTO), ipon seoi nage
(SPMISN), kouchi makikomi (SPMKMK), floor circle (SPMPAK), uchi mata with roll forward (SPMUMK).
Variables for assessing sports and technical knowledge are:
ouchi - gari (TZOUGA) osoto - gari (TZOSGA) kouch gari
(TZKOGA), uchi - mata (TZUCMA), uki - gosi (TZUKGO),
Hara - gosi (TZHAGO), tai - otos (TZTAOT), Tomo - mage
(TZTONA).
Varijable za procjenu situaciono-.motoričkih sposobnosti su:
preskakanje i provalačenje (SPMPIP), poskoci na stajnoj nozi
(SPMPSN), kretanje na trbuhu povlačenjem rukama (SPMKTR), okretnost na tlu (SPMONT), kretanje na leđima, glavom
naprijed (SPMLGN), pad naprijed preko partnera (SPMPNP),
bacanje s koljena (SPMBSK), kretanje na leđima, nogama
naprijed (SPMLNN), uči komi – tai oto{i (SPMUTO), ipon
seoi nage (SPMISN), kouči makikomi (SPMKMK), parterni
krug (SPMPAK), uči mata sa kolutom naprijed (SPMUMK).
Varijable za procjenu sportsko tehničkog znanja su: ouči –
gari (TZOUGA), osoto – gari (TZOSGA), kouči gari (TZKOGA),
uči – mata (TZUČMA), uki – goši (TZUKGO), harai – goši
(TZHAGO), tai – oto{i (TZTAOT), tomoe – mage (TZTONA).

In order to establish relations between the two tested areas
canonical correlation analysis was applied. The Analysis
answers to the question which of the both areas applied
variables have the highest degree of correlation.
U cilju utvrđivanja relacija između dva ispitivana prostora
primjenjena je Kanonička korelaciona analiza. Ova analiza
daje odgovor na pitanje koje od primjenjenih varijabli oba
prostora imaju najveći stepen povezanosti.

Based on the results of canonical correlation coefficients
(Table 1) using Bartlett’s lambda test and its testing using
appropriate chi - square test yielded two significant pairs of
canonical factors, on a statistically significant level of p=.00.
Insight into the correlation of the first pair of canonical situational factors in space - motor skills and elements of judo
techniques, with the canonical correlation coefficient is R=
.80 and the size of the common variance of 65% R2=.65,
we can confirm a high correlation between the two systems
of variables.

Na osnovu rezultata koeficijenta kanoničke korelacije (Tabela 1) primjenom Bartletovog lambda testa i njegovim testiranjem pomoću odgovarajućeh hi – kvadrat testa dobivena su dva statistički značajna para kanoničkih faktora na
statistički značajnom nivou od p=0,00. uvidom u veličinu
korelacije prvog para kanoničkih faktora u prostoru situaciono – motoričkih sposobnosti i elemenata džudo tehnike,
čiji koeficijent kanoničke korelacije iznosi R=0,80 kao i
veličine zajedničke varijanse od 65% R2=0,65 možemo
potvrditi visoku povezanost između dva sistema varijabli.

hands. Observing the structure in space judo techniques
(Table 3) which was isolated in the first canonical dimension,
we can conclude that the variables which have the greatest
impact are TZOUGA ouchi-gari, TZUCMA - uchi mata,
TZUKGO - uki gosi, TZHAGO - Harai gosi, TZKOGA - kouchi gari.
The second significant canonical pair of isolated opportunistic - motor skills and elements of judo technique also has
a relatively high correlation coefficient, which is R=.61 with
a shared variance of R2=.39 (Table 1). In the area of situational motor abilities largest projection on the second canonical factor (Table 2) have variables SPMPNP - falling
forward into the partner, SPMONT - agility on the ground
and SPMPIP - skipping and crawling.
The second canonical factor isolated in the space of elements
judo techniques (Table 3) is defined by variables TZHAGO
- harai gosi and TZTAOT - tai otos.

Drugi značajan izolovani kanonički par situaciono – motoričkih
sposobnosti i elemenata tehnike džudoa takođe ima relativno visok koeficijent korelacije, koji iznosi R=0,61 sa
zajedničkom varijansom od R2=0,39 (Tabela 1). U prostoru
situaciono motoričkih sposobnosti najveće projekcije na
drugi kanonički faktor (Tabela 2) imaju varijable SPMPNP
– pad naprijed preko partnera, SPMONT – okretnost na tlu
i SPMPIP – preskakanje i provlačenje.
Drugi izolovani kanonički faktor u prostoru elemenata tehnike
džudoa (Tabela 3) je definisan varijablama TZHAGO – harai
go{i i TZTAOT – tai oto{i.
Conclusion
Zaklju~ak
Research has found that there is a statistically significant
association between situational - motor skills of judo techniques and elements, in both isolated pairs of canonical
factors. Technical preparation of judo competitors is the
process of forming motor skills (knowledge), including:
throwing, holding procedures, levers, choking, and combina-

tions thereof, which is applied in combat sports (Drvol, 2005;
Drid, 2005). Special technical preparation judoka is the
formation of such motor skills under various conditions
imposed by the sport’s struggle, and is directly connected
with execution of certain tasks and tactics aimed at achieving a more favorable sports results. This study shows that the
quality of performance of specific judo techniques is conditioned by a high level of situational - motor skills.
