The film attempts to portray the winter idyll,
but also to show how much this period of the
year evokes a sweeping sense of loneliness,
creating thus an atmosphere as if everything is
going to become extinct.

Vlasina Lake, a mirror for the sky, made of mud,

tried to defend itself by inventing a new legend about the Vlasina wolf?

zapaženi. Zove se MYSA. Organizacija MYSA
preživljava pomoću malih donacija stranih
kompanija i agencija, ali svoj uspeh zahvaljuje prevashodno neverovatnoj energiji mladih,
samoukih društvenih aktivista koji su se okupili

Pridruži se čarobnom putovanju kroz prirodu.
Plutaj na vodi i otkrij ples elemenata, kamena,
drva, vazduha i vode.
u jedno.
Join a magical journey through nature. Float
with the water and discover the dance of the
elements, rock, woods, air and water. The beauty of things lies not only on the surface but in
the infinite interplay of its individual parts.
The film shows how the elements of nature
merge into one. This is happening all around
us. Like in the river Korana. Translated from
Croatian the word “Korana” means water that
runs through forest and rock.

The story of stuff (21’)
(Priča o našim stvarima)
SAD (USA), 2010
Luis Foks | Eni Lionard
Film otkriva
veze između ogromnog broja ekoloških i društvenih problema i poziva nas da zajedno izgradimo održiviji i pravičniji svet. Naučiće vas nečemu,
nasmejaće vas, a možda će čak i zauvek promeniti vaš odnos prema stvarima koje posedujete.
From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is
hidden from view. The Story of Stuff exposes
the connections between a huge number of
environmental and social issues, and calls us
together to create a more sustainable and just
world. It’ll teach you something, it’ll make you
laugh, and it just may change the way you look
at all the stuff in your life forever.

The Story of Bottled Water tells the story of
manufactured demand – how you get Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of
water every week when it already flows from
the tap. Over five minutes, the film explores
the bottled water industry’s attacks on tap
water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces.
The Story of Electronics explores the high-tech
revolution’s collateral damage – 25 million tons
of e-waste and counting, poisoned workers
and a public left holding the bill. Annie takes
viewers from the mines and factories where our
gadgets begin to the horrific backyard recycling
shops in China where many end up.
42
“Priča o elektronskim uređajima” tretira pitanje kolateralne štete visoko-tehnološke revolucije – 25 miliona tona elektronskog otpada, s
tendencijom porasta, zatrovanim proizvodnim
radnicima i društvu kome se ispostavio račun.
aparati proizvode do užasnih dvorišnih prodavnica reciklažnog materijala u Kini, gde

Atomi imaju dug život, a ljudi kratko pamćenje.
25 years after Chernobyl we have almost forgotten the risks inherent to nuclear power.
The consequences of this disaster have still not
been mastered. Recent events in Japan show
that we have not yet learned our lesson when
it comes to this type of catastrophes. Atoms
have a long life, and men have a short memory. This heretofore unseen film about Chernobyl is here to remind us.

razgovor i retrospektivu kratkih filmova.
Mako Sajko je rođen 1927. godine. Diplomirao
je 1959. godine na Fakultetu Dramskih Umetnosti u Beogradu, a potom je nastavio obrazovanje u Minhenu i Parizu. Bio je pomoćnik
reditelja Františeka Čapa, Jože Štiglicu, Jani Kavčič, Francu Kosmaču i mnogim drugim slovenačkim i inostranim rediteljima.
Njegov pristup marginalizovanim temama
je oduvek bio veoma kritičan i društveno
angažovan. U 60-im i 70-im, bio je jedan od
vodećih dokumentarista u Sloveniji i Jugoslaviji.

This year, the Festival’s Guest will be Mako Sajko, whom the audience will have the opportunity to meet at the short film discussion and
retrospective on November 15, at 6.30 pm
Mako Sajko was born in 1927. He graduated
in 1959 at the Film University in Belgrade and
continued his education in Munich and Paris. He was assistant director to František Čap,
Jože Štiglic, Jane Kavčič, France Kosmač and
other Slovenian and foreign directors. Most of
the scripts for his short films were he wrote
himself. His approach to socially marginalized
themes was always very critical and socially
aware. In the 60s and 70s he was one of the
leading documentarists in Slovenia and Yugoslavia. His short, yet extremely meaningful
films were a reflection of the times and have
stirred controversy not only in Yugoslavia,
but also worldwide. No theme, no matter
how seemingly unimportant or hidden, was
a taboo for him, his watchful eye and brilliant
mind have always reached further. Factories
polluting the environment (Poison, 1964),
virtual and actual borders (Where Is the Iron
Curtain?, 1961), confessions of people whose
relatives committed suicide (Suicides, Beware, 1967), prostitution (Slavica Exception,
1971) and untouched nature in all of its beauty (Tournament at Šumik, 1965).

Play again (88’)
(IGRAJ PONOVO)
SAD (USA), 2010
Tonje Hessen Schei
Buduća generacija ljudi će provoditi više vremena u virtualnom svetu, nego u prirodi. Nove
mreži i virtuelne stvarnosti.

One generation from now most people will
have spent more time in the virtual world than
in nature. New media technologies have improved our lives in countless ways. Information
now appears with a click. Overseas friends are
part of our daily lives.
At a time when children play more behind
screens than outside, PLAY AGAIN explores
the changing balance between the virtual and
natural worlds. Is our connection to nature disappearing down the digital rabbit hole?
This moving and humorous documentary
follows six teenagers who, like the “average
American child,” spend five to fifteen hours
a day behind screens. PLAY AGAIN unplugs
these teens and takes them on their first wilderness adventure – no electricity, no cell
phone coverage, no virtual reality.

Energija je fundament modernog života.
Prevoz, globalna privreda, hrana i voda, stanovanje, medicina, komunikacije i rad računara –
sve to zavisi od energije.
No, energija se nalazi u potresnom vremenu tranzicije. Obnovljivi izvori energije su se pojavili na
sceni. Nekonvencionalni gas i nafta menjaju naše
mišljenje o snabdevanju energijom. Stavovi u
vezi nuklearnih postrojenja se menjaju. Zabrinutost oko ugljenika će možda, a možda i ne, uticati
na globalnu proizvodnju i potrošnju.
snimljena. On dobija jasne odgovore od ljudi iz
sektora energetike, svetski uticajnih političara,
industrije i nauke. Na kraju, on preseca konfuziju
ujedno i iznenađujući i izuzetno pragmatičan.
Energy is the foundation of modern life. Our
transportation, global commerce, food and
water, housing, medicine, communications
and computing all depend on it.
Yet energy is in a sweeping period of transition. Renewables are entering the landscape.
Unconventional gas and oil are changing our
ideas of supply. Opinions on nuclear are shifting. Carbon concerns may, or may not, affect
global production and consumption.
Dr. Tinker explores the world’s leading energy
sites, from coal to solar, oil to biofuels, many
highly restricted and never before seen on
film. He gets straight answers from the people
driving energy today, international leaders of
government, industry and academia. In the
end, he cuts through the confusion to discover a path to our future that is surprising and
remarkably pragmatic.

The island president (101’)
(PREDSEDNIK OSTRVA)
SAD (USA), 2011
mnogi drugi svetski državnici ikada – naime, s
bukvalnim preživljavanjem njegove zemlje i
48
Jon Shenk’s The Island President is the story of
President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives,
a man confronting a problem greater than any
other world leader has ever faced—the literal
survival of his country and everyone in it. After
bringing democracy to the Maldives after thirty years of despotic rule, Nasheed is now faced
with an even greater challenge: as one of the
most low-lying countries in the world, a rise
of three feet in sea level would submerge the
1200 islands of the Maldives enough to make
them uninhabitable.

On gleda snimke stvarnih
ljudi iz raznih krajeva sveta, u godinama sve do
2015. godine, pre nego što su uticaji klimatskih
promena odbegli kontroli.
This ambitious documentary/drama/animation hybrid stars Pete Postlethwaite as an archivist in the devastated world of the future, asking the question: “Why didn’t we stop climate
change when we still had the chance?” He
looks back on footage of real people around
the world in the years leading up to 2015 before runaway climate change took place.

Tajna dunavskog vilenjaka (62’)
(The Secret of the Danube Elf)
Srbija (Serbia)
Dušan Vojvodić, Milina Trišić
Prilikom povlačenja iz Rusije, između 5. i 7.
septembra 1944. godine, u operaciji „Dunavski
170 svojih brodova, odnosno celu „Crnomorsku flotilu“.
U dokumentarnom filmu „Tajna dunavskog
50
During the German retreat from Russia, between 5th and 7th September 1944, in the
operation “The Danube Elf”, in the region of
Prahovo, trying to avoid to be captured by
the Red army, Germans sank more than 170 of
their own ships, i.e. their complete Black Sea
Fleet. The cemetery of ships that were carrying
spoils of war from Russia leis still at the bottom
of the Danube river. This is all that contemporary history has noted about the German operation “The Danube Elf”.
In the documentary film “The Secret of the
Danube Elf”, the film team tries to put together
fragments, scattered through time, under the
Danube water. Some of them are kept in the
memory of eye-witnesses; others are lost in the
millions of archives from the World War II.
Unexpected circumstances that have occurred
during the shooting of this film reveal a secret
which has been kept by the waves of Danube
for 68 years and because of which nobody can
remain indifferent, as it concerns all of us!!!
ljudi i predela.
G-FEST je posvećen filmovima o prirodi u svoj
njihovoj različitosti i tehničkoj ekspresivnosti.
Filmski program biće dopunjen mnogobrojnim dodatnim manifestacijama. Glavna će
tema festivala u celini biti podizanje svesti o
neophodnosti održivog razvoja.
Od samog početka, festival teži da postane
centralna manifestacija o prirodi i životnoj
sredini u regionu, ali u isto vreme i referentni
festival filmova o prirodi u širem geografskom
podignemo svest naših posetilaca i javnosti
uopšteno o kulturnim i prirodnim resursima
naše regije, kao i globalnim ekološkim trendovima. Čineći to, nadamo se da ćemo unaprediti
regionalne poduhvate ekološke ko-egzistencije s prirodom i ojačati osećanja zdravog ponosa na kulturne i prirodne resurse u regionu.

G-FEST is a cultural bound between Porabje
and Goričko regions, between film and nature,
between people and landscape.
G-FEST is dedicated to nature films in all of
their diversity and technical expressiveness.
The film program will be complemented by
numerous accompanying events. The main
theme of the festival as a whole will be raising
the awareness of sustainable development.
From the very start, the festival aims to become the central nature and environmental
event of the region, and at the same time a
referential nature-themed film festival in the
wider geographical area. Naturally, it will take
many years of endeavor, constant program
growth and upgrading, and last but not least
also the traditional placement of the event
into local environment. We will do our best to
systematically raise our visitors’ and general
public’s awareness of the cultural and natural
resources of our region and global ecological
trends. By doing so, we are hoping to upgrade
regional endeavors for ecological coexistence
with nature, encourage sustainable development and strengthen a healthy pride of cultural and natural resources of the region.

Svi delimo istu planetu, a klimatske promene,

poseduje antibakterijska i antialergijska svojstva.
Daj Daj pelene čuvaju okolinu i isplatljivije su
od jednokratniih pelena. Jednokratne pelene
zauzimaju drugo mesto po količini otpada na
deponijama u Srbiji odmah iza plastičnih kesa.
Behind the name Daj Daj stand two female
friends that have invested their own money in
starting the production of fabric diapers, made
of bamboo. Daj Daj diapers are similar in cut
to disposable diapers; they are machine washable and needn’t be ironed. Made of 100%
bamboo fibers, they posses antibacterial and
antiallergenic properties. Daj Daj diapers protect the environment and are less expensive as
disposable diapers, which are ranked second
to plastic bags in terms of waste volume at the
landfills in Serbia.

Osnivanjem zadruga doprinosimo legalizaciji
rada individualnih sakupljača sekundarnih
sirovina.
Magazin Liceulice izlazi jednom mesečno, a
prodaju ga najsiromašniji i najugroženiji pripadnici marginalizovanih grupa (beskućnici,
mladi ulice, osobe sa posebnim potrebama,
itd) kroz posebno osposobljene i organizovane
