PROF. DR. AHMET KESİK
ASELSAN MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Prof. Dr. Ahmet KESİK was born in 1965 in Karapınar, Konya. He graduated from
Ankara University S.S.F. Economics Department in 1986. Between 1994 and 1996
he completed the graduate program of Economics in Western Illinois University in
USA. He was rewarded with “Karen Courter Award” and “Outstanding Economics
Graduate Paper” awards. He was qualified in “ABD National Dean’s List” for the
1995-1996 period. After completing the graduate education, he passed the exams of
Governance of Illinois State, USA and has done his internships in Public
Procurement Department with “Michael Curry” scholarship for 2 months and in State
Governor Budget Office with “Dunn Fellowship” scholarship for 12 months.
Following his education and internship abroad, he was assigned as Head of
Department in Ministry of Finance General Directorate of Budget and Fiscal Control
and in 2002 as the Budget and Fiscal Control Deputy General Director. Between the
years 2006 and 2013 he worked as the Head of Strategy Development Unit in
Ministry of Finance. Prof. Dr. Ahmet KESİK served as the Deputy General Director of
Administrative Services of Ministry of Development between 2012 and 2014 who is a
lecturer in Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Politics Public Finance Theory
Department since March 22, 2013.
He was elected as a Member of Board of Directors in the Ordinary General Assembly
Meeting held on March 31, 2014.
