The 8th International Symposium
KOD 2014
MACHINE AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
12 - 15 June 2014, Hotel Marina, Balatonfüred, Hungary
CALL FOR PAPERS
Dear colleagues,
The aim of the symposium is to review the current state of knowledge and present the scope of
scientific research and innovation in the field of engineering design, product developing and
management.
The symposium will attempt to define the directions of further development in mechanical
engineering. The leading professors in this field from this region will be engaged to take
introductory lectures and give us their view of this issue.
We kindly invite You to join the 8th International Symposium "KOD 2014" which will take place
on 12th till 15th June 2014 in Hotel Marina in Balatonfüred, Hungary. The basic goals of this
symposium are:
 to assemble famous investigators and practitioners from faculties, scientific institutes and
different enterprises or other organizations,
 to enable presentation of new knowledge and exchange of practical experience in mechanical
and graphical engineering, industrial design and shaping, product development and
management,
 to propose theoretically developed and practically tested solutions for improving the quality of
products in mechanical engineering in order to achieve the highest possible position on the
international market.
Participants of Symposium KOD 2014 contributed to the understanding of design building
relationships across multidisciplinary design domains including engineering and product
development, innovation, management, complexity, human behaviour and system design. The
Symposium will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to exchange ideas as well as
discuss and identify current problems in the following areas:





DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING OF MACHINE ELEMENTS,
TESTING AND CONTROL OF MACHINE ELEMENTS,
NON-METAL MACHINE ELEMENTS,
TEACHING MACHINE ELEMENTS AND NON-METAL CONSTRUCTION,
ECONOMICAL ASPECTS OF CONSTRUCTION AND MANUFACTURING OF MACHINE
ELEMENTS,
 ECOLOGY, ERGONOMICS, ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION.
