O FESTIVALU
Pančevo Film Festival (PAFF) je
internacionalni takmičarski festival
dugometražnog i kratkog filma čije
će se prvo izdanje održati u Pančevu,
jednom od industrijskih centara
Srbije, u toku prve nedelje meseca
septembra (od 03. 09. 2014. do 07.
09. 2014. godine).
Program festivala je sastavljen od
pedesetak naslova sakupljenih sa
raznih strana sveta, od dokumentarnih
do igranih, eksperimentalnih i film
eseja, kratkog, srednjeg i dugog metra.
Pančevački filmski festival je manifestacija i platforma posvećena negovanju i promociji nezavisne autorske
kinematografije, ali i filmova nastalih
u ozbiljnijim i bogatijim produkcijama,
koji neguju originalan i kinematografski
uzbudljiv pristup narativu, formi, strukturi, estetici, dakle svim onim filmovima
koji se zrelo i inovativno služe vizuelnim
komuniciranjem.
Glavna misija festivala je da predstavi,
istraži i proširi ideje i pitanja šta sve
kinematografija danas može da bude,
kao i da, kroz prisustvo mladih talentovanih autora na festivalu, promoviše i

pruži podršku novoj generaciji filmskih
umetnika.
Tokom pet dana Pančevo će postati
grad – festival, sa ne samo bogatim
filmskim programom (dva takmičarska i
dva revijalna programa), već i muzičkim, likovnim, strip i edukativnim
programima, sa gostima iz sveta kulture
i umetnosti koji će, učešćem na tribinama, razgovorima, radionicama, svoje
znanje i iskustvo podeliti sa publikom.
Ideja je i da se u toku festivala na raznim gradskim lokacijama, galerijama,
parkovima i ulicama održe koncerti i
izložbe savremene strip, primenjene i
umetničke scene.
Edukativni program festivala sastojaće
se od predavanja, razgovora i radionica
namenjenih kako deci predškolskog
uzrasta, učenicima osnovnih i srednjih
škola, studentima, tako i ostalim
zainteresovanim i radoznalim ljudima, a
koja će održati gosti festivala, od mladih
i već afirmisanih filmskih umetnika,
novinara, teoretičara, kritičara, predstavnika filmskih akademskih institucija,
do raznih gostiju iz ostalih sfera umetnosti, kulture i obrazovanja.
Naša želja je da napravimo jednu kulturnu
manifestaciju koja će obogatiti život
građana Pančeva, okoline i regiona, i
uticati na stvaranje platforme za jedan
drugačiji vid filmskog izraza i komunikacije. Takođe, želimo da inicramo i
utičemo na formiranje i stvaranje nove
filmske publike, na buduće filmadžije i
filmofile. Na one koji će, na našem festivalu,
po prvi put imati priliku da vide drugačiju vrstu kinematografije i da, pritom,
imaju priliku da od samih autora čuju
i nauče kako, zašto i na koji način se
filmovi prave, čitaju, gledaju i vole.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Pančevo Film Festival (PAFF) is an
international short and feature film
festival. This year, we are celebrating
our first edition during the first week
of September (September 3rd to September 7th, 2014) in Pančevo, one of
the biggest industrial towns in Serbia.
During PAFF, more than 50 international titles, ranging from documentaries and fiction films, to experimental
and essay films of short, medium and
feature length, will be screened at
several locations and cinemas. Pančevo
Film Festival is an event and a platform
dedicated to cultivating and promoting independent cinema but also films
created in any kind of production
(big-budget or no-budget) that cherish
original and cinematographically exciting approach to narrative, form, structure, and aesthetics. In other words,
the festival encompasses all those
movies that use mature and innovative
ways of visual communication.
The main goal of the festival is to present, explore and expand ideas about
contemporary cinema, while promoting
and supporting the new generation of

filmmakers through the presence of
young and talented authors, and their
work, at the festival.
During these five days Pančevo will become a festival town, not only because
of the rich film schedule that includes
two competitive and two non-competitive film selections, but because of the
musical, visual art & comics exhibitions
and educational programs that are also
part of our festival. Pančevo will host
guests from around the world, who
will not only share their work, knowledge and experience, but engage in
discussions with the public after the
screenings. We will organise concerts
and contemporary art and comic exhibitions at different locations around
the city including galleries, parks and
streets.
The educational part of the festival
consists of dozen of panels, workshops
and lectures presented to kids, college
and high school students, but also to
anyone who is interested to attend
and take part in that kind of programs.
The panel speakers will be young and
talented filmmakers, theoreticians,
critics, and representatives of academic film institutions, as well as other
guest speakers from the spheres of art,
culture and education.
Our desire is to create a cultural event
that will enrich the lives of the citizens
of Pančevo and the region, but that will
also serve as a platform for a different
form of cinematic expression and communication. We want to initiate and
influence the formation and creation
of a new film audience, those future
filmmakers and film lovers. Those who
will, for a first time at our festival, have
the opportunity to see a different kind
of films, in a different way - in cinemas
- and that they will have a chance to
meet the authors themselves and learn
how, why and in which ways the films
are made and meant to be read, seen
and loved.

Nagrada za najbolji kratki film – DIMNJAK
Best short film award – CHIMNEY
Žiri mladih, u čijem je sastavu šesnaest
tinejdžera i jedaneminentnireditelj,dodeljuje nagradu za najbolji film programa „Rani radovi”.
A jury composed of sixteen teenagers,
guided by an established filmmaker, will
decide on the award for Best short film
of the “Early Works” programme.
Nagrada „Dimnjak” dodeljuje se filmu
koji nagoveštava veliki talenat i potencijal reditelja, i koji predstavlja jedinstvenu
i originalnu viziju sveta koji nas okružuje.
The “Chimney” award is given to a film
that announces a great talent and presents a unique and original vision of the
world that surrounds us.
Žiri „Ranih radova” dodeliće takođe nagrade za najbolju režiju, najbolji scenario, najboljeg glumca, najbolju glumicu,
najbolju kameru i najbolju montažu.
The “Early Works” jury will also give
awards for Best director, Best screenplay, Best actor, Best actress, Best
cinematography and Best editing.

President of the Jury
Nikola Ležaić je rođen u Boru 1981.
godine. Završio je Fakultet dramskih
umetnosti u Beogradu, odsek Filmska
i TV režija. Jedan je od osnivača strip
grupe „Smog” i književnog pravca metasinkrizam. Zajedno sa kolegama Minom
Đukić i Urošem Tomićem osnovao je
filmsku kuću „Kiselo dete”. Nikolin dugometražni prvenac Tilva roš prikazan
je na nekim od najprestižnijih filmskih
festivala u svetu kao što su Lokarno,
Roterdam, Bafici, Sarajevo, Valdivia,
Belfort i mnogi drugi. Film je osvojio
mnogobrojne nagrade, među kojima
je i „Srce Sarajeva” za najbolji film na
Sarajevo Film Festivalu, kao i nominacija
za nagradu Evropske filmske akademije.
Od 2012. radi kao asistent na Fakultetu
dramskih umetnosti.
Nikola Ležaić was born in Bor in 1981.
He graduated Film and TV directing
from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in
Belgrade. He is one of the founders of
the comic book group “Smog” and the
literary movement called Metasincrism.
Together with fellow colleagues Mina
Djukić and Uroš Tomić he founded the
Film House ‘’Kiselo Dete’’. Nicola’s first
feature film Tilva roš has been selected
at some of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including Locarno,
Rotterdam, Bafici, Sarajevo, Valdivia and
Belfort, among others. The film won the
“Heart of Sarajevo” for the Best feature
film in Sarajevo Film Festival, and was
nominated for the EFA Discovery Award.
Since 2012 he works as an assistant professor at Belgrade’s Faculty of Dramatic
Arts.

Best feature-length film of the “Lighthouses” programme.
Nagrada „Svetionik” dodeljuje se
filmu koji na najsvetliji i najjasniji
način usmerava i nagoveštava buduće
puteve razvijanja filmskog jezika i pruža
odgovor na pitanje šta sve savremena
kinematografija može da bude.
The “Lighthouse” award is given to a
film that enlightens and directs future
paths for the language of cinema, and
offers an answer to the question of
what contemporary cinema can be.
BOBO JELČIĆ
nom teatarskom festivalu MESS u Sarajevu. Godine 2005. tandem Jelčić-Rajković snima svoj prvi eksperimentalni
film, Ono sve što znaš o meni, koji je
imao premijeru na Motovun film festivalu u Hrvatskoj. Jelčićev prvi dugomentražni igrani film, Odbrana i zaštita
(2013), imao je svetsku premijeru u
Forum selekciji na Berlinskom filmskom
festivalu. Jelčić živi i radi u Zagrebu.
Bobo Jelčić rođen je u Mostaru 1964.
godine. Diplomirao je režiju na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u Zagrebu.
Režirao je u svim većim pozorištima u
Hrvatskoj, kao i u Nemačkoj, Švajcarskoj
i Austriji, te u Hrvatskom narodnom
kazalištu u Mostaru. Profesor je glume
na Akademiji dramske umjetnosti u
Zagrebu. Od 1995. sarađuje sa Natašom
Rajković na njihovoj novoj metodi
rada s glumcima, koja stavlja glumca u
ulogu autora. Realizovali su nekolicinu
pozorišnih predstava koristeći ovu
metodu, među kojima su Promatranja
(1997), Usporavanja (1998), Nesigurna
priča (1999), Heimspiel (2002, Hanover),
X Wohnungen (2002, Duisburg; 2004
Berlin), S druge strane (2006), Fast
sicher (2007, Cirih) i Izlog (2010). Za
svoje predstave osvojili su mnogobrojna
svetska priznanja,, između ostalog i nagrade na Dubrovačkim ljetnim igrama,
Wiener Festwochen-u, i Internacional8
Bobo Jelčić was born in Mostar, Bosnia
& Herzegovina, in 1964. He graduated
directing at the Academy of Dramatic
Arts in Zagreb. He has worked as a
director for all the major theatres in
Croatia, as well as with theatres in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and the
Croatian National Theatre in Mostar.
He is also a professor of acting at the
Academy in Zagreb. In 1995, he and his
associate Nataša Rajković began working in Croatia with their new method,
which positions the actor in the role of
the author. They devised several stage
plays using this method, including Observations (1997), Slowing Down (1998),
Uncertain Story (1999), Heimspiel (2002,
Hannover), X Wohnungen (2002, Duisburg; 2004, Berlin), On the Other Side
(2006), Fast sicher (2007 Zürich) and
The Store Window (2010). Their theatre
projects have received many awards,
including prizes at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Wiener Festwochen,
and the International Theatre Festival
in Sarajevo. In 2005 Jelčić and Rajković
co-directed their first experimental film,
Black Coffee, which had its premiere at
the Motovun Film Festival in Croatia.
Jelčić’s first feature fiction film, A
Stranger (2013), had its world premiere
at the Forum section at the Berlinale.
Jelčić lives and works in Zagreb.

BRANISLAV DIMITRIJEVIĆ
Branislav Dimitrijević je rođen u
Beogradu 1967. godine. Nakon studija
istorije umetnosti u Beogradu i Kentu,
počeo je da radi kao umetnički kritičar
i kustos. Dobitnik je nagrade „Lazar
Trifunović” za likovnu kritiku i nagrade
„Dušan Stojanović” za teoriju filma.
Profesor je istorije i teorije umetnosti
na Visokoj školi za likovnu i primenjenu
umetnost na Novoj Akademiji u Beogradu. Aktivan je saradnik beogradskog
Muzeja savremene umetnosti, gde vodi
kurs „Umetnost i kultura u socijalističkoj
Jugoslaviji”. Objavljuje eseje o savremenoj umetnosti, filmu i teoriji vizuelne
kulture. Priredio je više publikacija i
kataloga uključujući O normalnosti –
umetnost u Srbiji 1989-2001 (2005)
i Gud lajf – fizički narativi i prostorne
imaginacije (2012). Njegov istraživački
rad zasniva se na teoriji vizuelnog i
konceptu umetnosti, a svoje interesovanje za odnos kulture i ideologije u

bivšoj Jugoslaviji pokazao je više puta.
U dva navrata je bio kustos jugoslovenskog / srpskog paviljona na Bijenalu
u Veneciji, 2003. i 2009. godine.
Branislav Dimitrijević was born in
Belgrade in 1967. Following his studies
of art history in Belgrade and Kent he
began to work as an art journalist and
curator. He is a recipient of the “Lazar
Trifunović” prize for art criticism and
the “Dušan Stojanović” prize for film
theory. He teaches History and Theory
of Art at the School of Fine and Applied
Arts and the New Academy in Belgrade.
He is a permanent contributor of the
Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, where he was leading a course
on “Art and Culture in the Socialist
Yugoslavia.” He is publishing essays on
contemporary art, film and visual art
theory. He edited several publications
and catalogues including On Normality:
Art in Serbia 1989-2001 (2005) and
/ NAGRADE I ŽIRI
Good Life: Physical Narratives and Spatial Imaginations (2012). His research
includes the theory of the visual as well
as the concept of art. In addition, he
has demonstrated his interest in the
relation between culture and ideology
in the former Yugoslavia. He was twice
the curator of the Yugoslav/Serbian
pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2003
and in 2009.

VLADISLAVA MILOSAVLJEVIĆ
Završila je glumu na Fakultetu dramskih
umetnosti u Beogradu. Članica Jugoslovenskog dramskog pozorišta od
1980. godine. Jedna od najpopularnijih i
najpoznatijih glumica SFRJ. Ostvarila je
mnogobrojne značajne uloge na sceni,
među kojima su: Lili (Druga strana);
Arkadina (Galeb); Ana (Bliže); Mej (Ludi
od ljubavi); više uloga u predstavi U
potrazi za Marselom Prustom; Vendla
Bergman (Buđenje proleća); Osa (Per
Gint); Ruža (Mali princ); Margareta
mlada glumica (Hrvatski Faust); Estela
(Iza zatvorenih vrata); Jamna (Nahod
Simeon); Karl Marks (Marks u Sohou). Dobitnica je Godišnje nagrade
Jugoslovenskog dramskoh pozorišta.
Na filmu je zapamćena po ulogama u
filmovima Splav meduze (Karpo Godina,
1980), Samo jednom se ljubi (Rajko
Grlić, 1981), Variola vera (Goran Marković,
1982), Oktoberfest (Dragan Kresoja,
1987) i mnogim drugima.

most popular and best-known actresses from the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia. Her list of successful
performances on scene includes

Čarolija za odbranu od tame prati neimenovanog junaka kroz tri naizgled
nepovezana trenutka života: usred boravka sa kolektivom ljudi na malom ostrvu u
Estoniji, u toku perioda samoće u divljini severne Finske, i na koncertu, gde nastupa kao pevač i gitarista blek metal benda u Norveškoj. Obeležen usamljenošću,
ekstatičnom lepotom i optimizmom najmračnije vrste, Čarolija je radikalni predlog
o postojanju utopije u savremenom svetu. Radi se istovremeno o dokumentu jednog
iskustva i o iskustvu samom po sebi – transcendentna istraga o filmu kao prostoru
koji pruža mogućnost preobražaja.
A Spell to Ward Off the Darkness follows an unnamed character through three
disparate moments in his life – in the midst of a 15-person collective on a small
Estonian island; in isolation in the wilderness of Northern Finland; and during a
concert as the singer and guitarist of a black metal band in Norway. Marked by
loneliness, ecstatic beauty and an optimism of the darkest sort, A Spell is a radical
proposition for the existence of utopia in the present. It is at once a document of
experience and an experience itself, an inquiry into transcendence that sees the
cinema as a site for transformation.

Otac poznatog reditelja bio je fudbalski sudija u doba komunizma u Rumuniji.
Njih dvojica gledaju snimak fudbalske utakmice koju je otac vodio jedne sive i
snežne nedelje 1988, godinu dana pre revolucije. U toku bitke između Dinama (tim
Securitatea – tajne policije) i Steaue (tim vojske), sin propituje oca o slikama koje
se odvijaju pred njima. Sama utakmica nije bila ništa posebno, ali su u njoj upisane
razne druge moguće borbe koje otkrivaju prisutni komentari.
The father of the famous filmmaker was a football referee during the communist
era in Romania. Rewatching a match refereed by him between the teams of the
army and the police one grey and snowy Sunday in 1988, a year before the revolution, the son asks his father about the video images that are unfurling. The match
was nothing special, though on to it is grafted countless other potential matches
that are also made visible by the presence of commentary.

realnošću koja ih okružuje…
The son of a Hungarian family from northern Serbia escapes from a drug-rehab
centre. The parents blame each other for their son’s fate, and the father moves
from the family house. Following the days they spent searching for their son, each
one of them has to face the harsh reality that surrounds them…

Sabolč Tolnai je rođen u Subotici 1971.
godine. Diplomirao filmsku režiju na
Akademiji umetnosti u Novom Sadu,
u klasi profesora Bore Draškovića.
Sa filmom Peščanik osvojio je brojna
priznanja. Režirao je više predstava u
Pozorištu „Deže Kostolanji” u Subotici,
i koproducirao film Ordinary People
Vladimira Perišića.
Born in Subotica in 1971, he graduated
in film directing at the Academy of
Arts in Novi Sad, under the tutelage of
Boro Drašković. His film The Hourglass
won a number of awards. He directed
several plays at the Dezső Kosztolányi
theatre in Subotica, and he coproduced
Vladimir Perišić’s film Ordinary People.

Grupa mladića pravi žurku u stanu. Atmosfera je vesela. Nedavno se zbila pobeda
socijalista na izborima 1982. Noć je puna muzike, euforije i slavlja. Pokušaj državnog
udara godinu dana ranije deluje kao daleka prošlost. U Španiji 1982. sve je izgledalo
kao budućnost. Međutim, ta budućnost se bliži enormnom brzinom i, kao da je reč o
crnoj rupi, guta sve što joj se nađe na putu.
A group of young people dance and drink in a house. The atmosphere is festive and
cheerful. The socialist victory in the general elections of 1982 seems recent. The
night is full of music, euphoria and celebration. The attempt of coup d’état the year
before seems quite far away. We could say that in Spain, in 1982, everything was
future. However, the future comes at an enormous speed and like a black hole it
devours everything in its way.

audiovizualnog kolektiva Los Hijos, čiji
je rad usmeren na dokumentarni i
eksperimentalni film. Los materiales,
prvi dugometražni film kolektiva, osvojio je specijalno priznanje žirija na FID
Marsej 2010. godine.
Luis López Carrasco (1981) is a
filmmaker, writer and visual artist. He
is a co-founder of the Los Hijos, an
audiovisual collective focused on documentary and experimental cinema. The
Materials, the collective’s first feature
film received a Special Mention of the
Jury at FID Marseille in 2010.

Manena je odlučna tinejdžerka, ćerka bogatog čileanskog zemljoposednika. Otac
ceo odmor podređuje opsesiji da potamani sve šarane koji su zaposeli njegovo
jezero. Dok on, kako leto odmiče, pribegava sve ekstremnijim metodama uništavanja,
Manena doživljava prvo ljubavno razočarenje i otkriva tajni svet koji postoji paralelno
sa njenim i koji joj se polako otkriva – svet indijanskih radnika Mapuče, koji traže
svoje pravo na zemlju i bune se protiv njenog oca.
Manena is a very determined teenager, and the darling daughter of Pancho, a rich
Chilean landowner who devotes his vacations to a single obsession: the extermination of carp fish that invade his lake. As he resorts to ever more extreme methods
over the course of the summer, Manena experiences her first deception in love and
discovers a world that silently co-exists alongside her own: that of the Mapuche
Indian workers who claim access to these lands... and who stand up to her father.

After the success of Easy Rider, Dennis Hopper went to Peru in 1970 to make his
now legendary The Last Movie, a chaotic head-trip and mythological meta-Western, which immediately became a cult film. 42 years later, another young director
(Alex Ross Perry), travels to Mexico to document the end of the world as predicted
by the Mayan Indians, and to make the very last film ever. Convinced of his own
genius, he travels out to temples beleaguered by American new-age hippies, where
René Redzepi from Copenhagen’s world-renowned Noma restaurant is cooking the
last meal. The end is near! The apocalypse is approaching!

Mitch je umetnik. Mitch je šizofreničar. On sam to tvrdi, obraćajući se kameri. Ovaj
film je autoportret čoveka u četrdesetim koji koristi kameru i film kao vrstu terapije.
Mitch nas vodi na neverovatno putovanje kroz njegovo okruženje – psihijatrijsku
bolnicu u kojoj živi. On snima i postavlja pitanja o seksu i lepoti, viče ali takođe i peva,
raspravlja o politici, buni se, istražuje, brine i smeje se. Snima „odrešenih ruku” i
bez ikakvog osećaja za meru. Ovo je takođe putovanje kroz marginu jedne zemlje,
uhvaćene u traumatičnim posledicama skorije istorije.
Mitch is an artist, Mitch is schizophrenic. That’s what he claims, facing the camera.
This is his self-portrait, showing a man of 40 who uses the camera and film as a
form of therapy. Mitch takes us with him on a meteoric journey through his environment, the psychiatric hospital where he lives. He films and asks questions about
sex and beauty, and he rants but also sings, shouts about politics, rebels, scrutinizes, worries, and laughs too. He films with “gloves off” and without any sense of
measure. But that’s not all. It is also a journey through the margins of a country
caught up in the traumatic aftermath of recent history.

slobodi pojedinca i odgovornosti, o kapitalizmu i Karlu Marksu. Frustriran zbog broja korumpiranih političara i lopova koji ostaju nekažnjeni, student prava uzima stvari u svoje ruke. Dok on tone sve dublje i dublje u nasilje i nemoral, nevin porodični
čovek završava u zatvoru. Njegova žena i dvoje dece lutaju po ruralnom ambijentu
u potrazi za nekom vrstom spasa. Epsko tumačenje Zločina i kazne Dostojevskog,
Norte je istovremeno intimna ljudska drama i kosmički spis o poreklu zla.
Norte, the End of History starts with a chat in a bar about ideology and the 21st
century, the absolute freedom of the individual and responsibility, capitalism and
Karl Marx. Frustrated because so many corrupt politicians and crooks get off
scot-free, a law student tries to make a point. As he sinks deeper and deeper into
an immoral and violent universe, an innocent family man is thrown in jail. His wife
and two children wander the countryside looking for some kind of redemption. An
epic reimagining of Dostoevsky’s Crime and Punishment, Norte is both an intimate
human drama and a cosmic treatise on the origin of evil.

Na pola puta između autobiografije i fikcije, radoznalosti i očajanja, In Praise of the
Day je hrabar film o homoseksualnosti čija se radnja odvija u Parku nezavisnosti u Jerusalimu. Reditelj Oren Adaf tumači glavnu ulogu, mladića koji luta parkom tražeći
telefon. Susreće se sa redovnim posetiocima parka i spreman je da učini sve kako bi
se pre Šabata čuo sa svojom majkom – tradicionalistkinjom.
Between autobiography and fiction, curiosity and despair, In Praise of the Day is a
bold homosexual film, taking place at the Independence Park in Jerusalem. Director Oren Adaf plays the lead role of a young man wondering around the park and
looking for a phone. He meets the usual characters of the park and is willing to do
anything to be able to call his traditional mother before Shabbat.

godine. In Praise of the Day je njegov
diplomski film.

A Kosovo war veteran is having a hard time readjusting to his life after returning
from service. He and his wife try to rescue their broken marriage by traveling to
a beautiful lake resort in Ohrid, Macedonia. His wife’s mother is worried for her
safety because of his erratic behavior.

A young woman brings a young man to her home for a one-night stand. A quirky
romance starts to grow as they try hard to break the awkward silence. They talk,
they drink, they dance, they talk, and they have sex. When morning comes, one of

Alta (2011) dobio prvu nagradu na festivalu u Vinterturu i prikazan je na festivalima u Roterdamu, Oberhauzenu, Vila
do Konde i mnogim drugim.
He studied Communication Sciences and followed courses in theatre
direction. In 2012 Adorno took part in
the 10th Berlinale Talent Campus. His
last short film La estancia (2014) won
the Grand Prize of the City of Oberhausen and his 2011 film Isla Alta won
the Grand Prize of the Kurzfilmtage
Winterthur and has been screened in
Rotterdam, Oberhausen, Vila do Conde
and others.

nekoliko meseci u malom stanu u predgrađu, sve dok ne ostanu bez novca.
Mad love story – a threat comes to haunt everyday banality. A young man in his
twenties, tough manners. A grown, pregnant woman. The two of them have been
living together for a few months in a tiny apartment in the suburbs, until the day
money runs out.

A glance in the mirror and the finding of his father’s old coat marks just the beginning of Pietro’s realization that something new and turbulent is coming into his
life. Pietro lets us follow him along this slice of adolescence where little things can
reveal the ironic and subtle beauty of life.

diplomski film A Kalašnikov Thought
je imao svetsku premijeru na Mostri u
Veneciji. Đorđo živi i radi u Londonu.
It’s after a couple of cheap homemade
shorts that Giorgio decides to make a
move to London and follow the Cinema
thing. He graduates from the London
Film School with distinction in April
2013 and his grad film A Kalašnikov
Thought world premieres at Venice
Film Festival. Giorgio lives and works

Dane Komljen was educated in film directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts
in Belgrade. He is doing master studies
at Le Fresnoy. His films were presented

Sarajevo FF. He is currently working on
his first feature film Before Enmity.

Luka se seli kod tetke u mali primorski grad dok se njegovi roditelji razvode. Tamo
upoznaje Janu, devojčicu iz kraja koja voli da se sunča. Kraj je leta. Deca skaču sa
napuštenih vojnih zaklona. Kada si klinac, nikad ne znaš da detinjstvu dolazi kraj.
Luka moves to the small coastal town to live with his aunt, while his parents are in
the middle of divorce. Besides the numbness, there is also Jana – a girl from the
neighborhood who likes sunbathing. It’s a lazy end of the summer. Kids are jumping
from the edge of the abandoned submarine port enjoying last days of vacation.
When you are a kid, you never know that childhood ends.

Đakomo Abruceze rođen je 1983. u
Tarantu, na jugu Italije. Diplomac je
poznate francuske škole Le Fresnoy.
Đakomovi kratki filmovi Archipel i Fireworks učestvovali su na međunarodnim
festivalima kao što su Oberhauzen,
Viennale, Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere,
IndieLisboa, Kustendorf, i mnogim
drugim. Prikazani su u Francuskoj
kinoteci u Parizu, i u muzejima MACRO
u Rimu i MuCEM u Marseju. U tri zemlje
otkupljeni su za prikazivanje na televiziji – France 3, Sky Art i SVT. Među
njegovim nagradama se ističe Nagrada
za najbolji kratki film na prestižnom
filmskom festivalu u Torinu. Od 2008.
do 2009. godine bio je umetnički
direktor palestinske državne televizije
AQTV, i predavao je scenario i montažu
u filmskoj školi u Vitlejemu. Učesnik je
umetničke rezidencije u Cité Internationale des Arts u Parizu i Talent Campusa
na Berlinalu. Prošle godine njegov projekat za dugometražni film Disco Boy
selektovan je za učešće u Rezidenciji
Cinéfondation koju vodi Festival u Kanu.
Trenutno priprema još jedan drugometražni igrani film – Disorder.

Giacomo Abbruzzese was born in 1983
in Taranto, Southern Italy. A graduate
of Le Fresnoy, his short films Archipel
and Fireworks have been screened at
many international festivals including
Oberhausen, Viennale, Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, IndieLisboa, Kustendorf. There were presented at the
Cinémathèque Française in Paris and
in museums like the MACRO in Rome
or the MuCEM in Marseille. In three
countries they were broadcasted on
television (France 3, Sky Art, SVT).
Giacomo Abbruzzese received many
awards including the Best short film
at the Torino Film Festival. Between
2008 and 2009 he was artistic director of the Palestinian public television
AQTV and taught screenwriting and
editing in the film school of Bethlehem.
In 2012 he was artist in residence at
the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris
and invited for the Belinale Talents.
In 2013 he has been selected by the
Cannes Film Festival for the Cinéfondation Residence to develop his first
feature film Disco Boy. He is currently
preparing another fiction feature film
– Disorder.

Naslonjena na zid, devojka deluje kao da čeka nekoga. Žilijen/Pjero izlazi iz
bioskopa i luta teško prepoznatljivom Bolonjom. Na pola puta između života i filma,
hodajući kroz vizuelne i zvučne prostore, likovi se dodiruju, gube, ponovo susreću i
jure jedni druge, postajući neprimetna tela i duhovi.
A girl, leaning against the wall, seems to wait for someone. Julien/Pierrot, leaving
a movie theatre, wanders around a hardly recognizable Bologna. Between life and
film, walking through visual spaces and soundscapes, the characters touch, lose,
find again, and chase each other, making indistinguishable bodies and ghosts.

Abed, mladi Palestinac, prolazi ispod Zida, kroz kanalizaciju, i ilegalno ulazi u Izrael.
Radi u restoranu u zapadnom delu Jerusalima. Za slobodan dan, Abed odlučuje da
ode kući sa tajanstvenom belom kutijom. To je početak veoma dugog putovanja.
Abed, a young Palestinian, enters Israel illegally by passing under the Wall, through
the sewers. He works in a restaurant in the West of Jerusalem. On his day off,
Abed decides to go home with a mysterious white box. It is the beginning of a long
journey.

Već pedeset godina Taranto je najzagađeniji grad u zapradnoj Evropi – beskrajan
i užasan industrijski kompleks koji zaklanja svaki ekonomski, vizuelni i imaginarni
horizont. Dok vatromet obasjava nebo slaveći dolazak nove godine, međunarodna
grupa ekologa se priprema da digne u vazduh sve fabrike.
For fifty years, Taranto has been home to Europe’s largest steel industry, an immense and hideous complex that occupies every economical, visual and imaginary
horizon, making it the most polluted city in Western Europe. On New Year’s Eve,
as the fireworks explode, an international group of ecologists decides to blow the
entire factory up.

Film Noć dolazi: tužbalica za žrtve
Marikane Arjana Kaganofa „oteo je” i
vratio otuđeni akademski diskurs na
mesto masakra pobunjenih rudara
u Južnoafričkoj Republici, i u tom
procesu imenovao je ovo ubistvo ritualom, osvetljavajući društvenu istinu
„nove demokratije”, koristeći iskustvo
poetike remiksa u razobličavanju imperijalnih društvenih, medijskih, kulturnih mehanizama. Romeo Grundfelder
je prizvao filmsku, teorijsku, književnu
i umetničku erudiciju u zajedničko
skliznuće u ništa/sve u obliku infra filmske pesme. Ovaj kontrapunkt omogućava nam da oštrije vidimo punu
amplitudu savremenih eksperimenata
u umetnosti i politici filma.
Aleksandra Sekulić je doktorski kandidat na smeru Teorija umetnosti i medija
na Univerzitetu umetnosti u Beogradu.
Odbranila master tezu „Arhiviranje kao

The film Night is Coming: Threnody
for the Victims of Marikana by Aryan
Kaganof “kidnapped” and brought
the alienated academic discourse
to the place of the massacre of the
rebelled South-African miners, and in
that process he named this murder a
ritual, shedding light onto the social
truth of the “new democracy”, using
the experience of remix poetics in
dismantling the imperial social, media
and cultural mechanisms. Romeo
Gründfelder evoked the film, theory,
literal and artistic erudition in a joint
slide into nothing/all, in the form of an
infra-cinematic poem. This contrapuntal relation will enable us to see
more clearly the full amplitude of the
contemporary experiments in film art
and politics of film.

Južni Sudan postao je nezavisna država u julu 2011. godine, nakon skoro 50 godina
građanskog rata. Film prati srpskog fudbalskog trenera Zorana Đorđevića na putu
stvaranja prvog nacionalnog tima u novonastaloj državi. Zoran je trenirao Bangladeš, Filipine, Sudan i Jemen, ali ništa ga nije moglo pripremiti za formiranje tima
u najnerazvijenijoj zemlji sveta. Kada Južni Sudan počne da gubi novac stečen od
nafte, koji čini neverovatnih 98% državnih prihoda, novca za finansiranje nacionalnog
tima je sve manje. Pod ogromnim pritiskom, reprezentacija se takmiči na svom
prvom velikom međunarodnom turniru, prevazilazeći malariju, smrt i siromaštvo.
South Sudan became an independent state in July 2011, following almost 50 years
of civil war. This film follows Serbian coach Zoran Djordjevic as he seeks to forge
the first national football team in the new country. He had coached Bangladesh,
Philippines, Sudan and Yemen, but nothing could prepare him for attempting to
build a team from scratch in the most undeveloped country in the world. When
South Sudan lost the oil money that makes up a staggering 98% of government
revenue, the money supply for the national team dries up. Under intense pressure,
the national team competes in its first ever major international tournament, overcoming malaria, death and poverty.

Džim Mikl je rođen u Pensilvaniji, SAD,
1979. godine. Inspirisan filmom Army of
Darkness rešio je da postane reditelj.
Diplomirao je na NYU 2002. godine.
Radio je kao asistent produkcije i
rasvetljivač na velikom broju filmova
reditelja debitanta koji nisu studirali
film. Mikl više voli da se bavi režiranjem
i montiranjem nego pisanjem scenarija
i veoma ga privlači fleksibilnost i napetost koju pruža žanr horor filmova.
Jim Mickle was born in Pennsylvania in
1979. Mickle was inspired to become
director after he saw Army of Darkness. He attended New York University
and graduated in 2002. He worked as
a production assistant and grip on a
series of films by first-time directors
who had not gone to film school. Mickle
prefers directing and editing to writing,
and he is attracted to the flexibility and
intensity of horror films.

sa obe strane berlinskog zida, džepova punih zapadnog novca. Međutim, zid je srušen i sve se promenilo. Dragan dvadeset godina nije kročio u Istočni Berlin i nema nameru da tamo ikada ode. Ludački komad istorije pripremljen u kuhinji ekscentričnog i
poraženog vratara bordela.
A bordello doorman in West-Berlin wants the Wall and his past back.The Yugoslav immigrant Dragan Wende used to be the
street king of West-Berlin’s 1970s hedonistic disco scene. Along with his friends, he roamed the nightclubs on both sides of
the Wall – his pockets full of Western money.But when the Wall fell, everything changed. Dragan has not set foot in East-Berlin for the past 20 years and has no intention to do so. A crazy piece of world history told from the kitchen of an eccentric and
washed-up bordello doorman.

road-movie dokumentarca Tarot,
Srbija! u režiji Ivana Ikića.
Half German, half Yugoslav, Lena grew
up in Berlin and in Paris. After a degree
in Philosophy, Politics and Economics
at Oxford University, Lena worked in
a Belgrade-based human rights thinktank devising and leading large-scale
civil society projects.
Dragan grew up in Leskovac, south
Serbia. He studied philosophy at the
University of Belgrade and worked as
a sports journalist for the TV station
Studio B. He finished the AFC Film
Directing School before enrolling in the
Editingdepartment at the Faculty of

Počinju da sumnjaju u stvari u koje su do tada verovale. Obe pokušavaju da nastave
sa životom, ali samo će jedna od njih na kraju uspeti u tome.

has to see Wanda, the only living relative, before she takes her vows. Wanda tells

question what they used to believe in. Both of them are trying to go on living but
only one eventually can.

ne naleti na Medlin: lepa koliko je i gruba, betonski blok napetih mišića i proročanstava o kraju sveta. On ne očekuje ništa, ona je spremna na najgore. On prihvata stvari kako se dese i voli da se šali. Ona se bori, trči, pliva, i gura sama sebe do
granice. Budući da nije ništa tražila od njega, koliko daleko je spreman da ide za nju?
Ovo je ljubavna priča. Ili priča o opstanku. Ili i jedno i drugo.
Between his friends and the family business, Arnaud’s summer looks set to be a
peaceful one. Peaceful until he runs into Madeleine, as beautiful as she is brusque,
a concrete block of tensed muscles and doomsday prophecies. He expects nothing;
she prepares for the worst. He takes things as they come, likes a good laugh. She

Leni i Lazar su kao deca bili najbolji prijatelji. Kada se, nakon dugog boravka u inostranstvu, Lazar vraća na sahranu svog oca, Leni žudi da se ponovo zbliži sa srodnom
dušom iz detinjstva, ali je još uvek bole godine njihove udaljenosti. Ipak, u pokušaju
da pobegne od dosadne svakodnevnice života odraslih, Leni će s Lazarom krenuti na
neplanirano putovanje biciklom kroz prelepe, suncem okupane seoske predele. Dok
uživaju u nepredvidivim napadima neposlušnosti, Leni mora da odluči da li je njihov
zajednički jezik nedoličnog ponašanja veza na kojoj može izgraditi život.
As children, Leni and Lazar were best friends. When Lazar returns from extensive
travels abroad for his father’s funeral, Leni yearns to reconnect with her childhood
soul mate but still feels the sting of their years of estrangement. Nevertheless, hoping to escape the doldrums of adult life, she embarks with Lazar on an impromptu
bicycle trip across a gorgeous, sunbaked countryside. As they revel in raucous bouts
of disobedience, Leni must decide if their shared language of misbehavior is a bond
upon which she can build a life.

Festivalu u Sandensu 2014.
Mina Đukić was born in Sombor, in
1982. In January 2008, together with
her colleagues Nikola Ležaić and Uroš
Tomić, she founded the film company
Kiselo dete. They produced their first
full-length film Tilva roš, directed by
Nikola Ležaić. The Disobedient is her
first feature film, premiered at the 2014
Sundance Film Festival.

Kada mu umre dugogodišnji prijatelj Đulaga, Slavko oseća da mora da ode na sahranu. Ali, u njegovom rodnom gradu, Mostaru, ova jednostavna društvena obaveza ga
može uplesti u brojne probleme: sa komšijama, ali i sa lokalnim političkim glavešinama. Međutim, ukoliko ne ode, njegova supruga će misliti da je kukavica, a ožalošćena porodica mu to nikada neće oprostiti – a možda neće moći oprostiti ni sam sebi.
Ovo je priča o čoveku koji je, onog trenutka kada se njegova zemlja raspala, izgubio
sve što ga je činilo onime što jeste.
When Slavko’s old friend Djulaga dies, Slavko feels obliged to go to the funeral. But
in his hometown of Mostar, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, this simple social obligation
has the potential of getting him into all kinds of trouble: with his neighbors or even
with local political bigwigs. Yet if he does not go, his wife will think he’s a coward,
the grieving family will never forgive him - and he might have trouble forgiving
himself. This is the story of a man who lost everything that defined him, when his
country disintegrated.

Bobo Jelčić (1964) je završio pozorišnu
režiju na Akademiji dramskih umjetnosti u Zagrebu. Njegov rediteljski rad
je poznat i cenjen u Hrvatskoj, ali i u
inostranstvu, gde je prepoznat njegov
specifični i originalni metod i pristup pozorištu ostvaren u saradnji sa Natašom
Rajković. Njegov prvi film Ono sve što
znaš o meni (2005) prikazan je na Motovun Film Festivalu.

Zečevi bez mozga žive u Rabittland-u, savršenom svetu uređenom po najuspešnijim
primerima ratnih područja, getoa, sirotinjskih kvartova. Jarko su roze boje, imaju
rupe u glavi umesto mozgova i srećni su bez obzira na to šta im se dešava. Dane
provode glasajući na slobodnim demokratskim izborima koji se dešavaju jednom
dnevno.
Brainless Rabbits live in Rabittland, a perfect world ordered according to the most
successful examples of war zones, ghettos and slums. They are intensively pink,
have holes in their heads instead of brains, and they are happy regardless of what
happens to them. They spend their days voting on free and democratic elections,
which take place in Rabbitland once a day.

Tinejdžer Luka živi u Mladenovcu s majkom koja više ne može da izađe na kraj
s njim. Njegov život čini jedna tuča za drugom. On i najbolji drug Flash su vođe
lokalnih fudbalskih navijača, i većinu slobodnog vremena provode navijajući za svoj
tim i ispijajući pivo. Kao pozadina ove realistične priče o odrastanju nalaze se nemiri
izazvani proglašenjem nezavisnosti Kosova.
Teenager Luka lives in the small Serbian town of Mladenovac with a mother who
can’t handle him anymore. His life is one scrape after another. He and his best mate
“Flash” lead the local football fans and spend most of their spare time rooting for
their team and drinking beer. This realistic tale of coming of age and the quest for
identity is set against a backdrop of the unrest sparked by Kosovo’s declaration of
independence.

Za vreme Pančevo Film Festivala u holu
Gradske uprave biće izloženi diplomski
radovi studenata Fakulteta primenjenih
umetnosti u Beogradu. Posetioci će
imati priliku da pogledaju selekciju radova izrađenih u proteklih šest godina.
Oni predstavljaju čitav proces rada
studenata scenografije, od elaboracije
ideje do konačnog proizvoda, odnosno
fikcionalnog filmskog seta, makete, koja
je zasnovana na nekom poznatom književnom delu, priči ili filmu. U planinama
ludila, Na Drini ćuprija, Banović Strahinja,
samo su neka od poznatih dela koja su
poslužila kao inspiracija za radove koji
će biti izloženi.
Fakultet primenjenih umetnosti nastao
je od škole za primenjenu umetnost
koja je osnovana 1938. godine, a
1948. podignuta na rang Akademije.
Sadašnji naziv dobio je 1973. godine, a
svojih osam odseka reorganizovao je
u katedre, među kojima je i katedra za
scenografiju.

Master studije završila je u Italiji, na
milanskoj Politehnici. Trenutno živi i
radi u Beogradu.
Otvaranje izložbe zakazano je za 26.
avgust u 19h u foajeu Gradske uprave
Pančeva. Izložba traje do 7. septembra.
During Pančevo Film Festival, an
exhibition of graduation projects by
students of the Faculty of Applied Arts
in Belgrade will be held in the Pančevo
Town Hall. Visitors will be able to see a
selection of works – scale model sets
made during the past six years. These
scale models are a reflection of the
work done by the students of scenography, presenting the entire process
from elaborating on an idea to the final
product: a fictional film set based on a
well-known novel, story or film. In the
Mountains of Madness, The Bridge on
the River Drina, and Banović Strahinja,
among others, served as inspiration for
the students’ works.
The Faculty of Applied Arts (FAA) in
Belgrade originated from the School
of Applied Arts, which was founded in
1938. In 1948 it received the status of
an Academy. The FAA got its current
name in 1973, when its sections were
reorganized in eight departments,
including the department for Scenography.
This showcase is organized by Magdalena Vlajić, who holds a degree in
scenography from the FAA. She completed her Master’s degree in Italy, at
the Polytechnic University of Milan. She
lives and works in Belgrade.
The opening of the exhibition is
scheduled for August 26th at 7PM at
Pančevo Town Hall and it will remain
open until September 7th.

„Nakon izložbe u Francuskom institutu
u Beogradu ovog proleća, dobio sam
poziv da isti materijal predstavim u
svom rodnom gradu. To je put koji je
vodio do moje prve samostalne izložbe
u Pančevu, iako sam već godinama
solo izlagao u Rimu, Parizu, Sijetlu, San
Francisku i kojegde. Međutim, mislim
da je vrlo zabavno upravo to što ništa
u mom radu nije išlo nekim regularnim
tokom.”
Saša Rakezić alias Aleksandar Zograf
Saša Rakezić, koji crta stripove pod
pseudonimom Aleksandar Zograf, po
svom radu je već od početka devedesetih postao poznat ne samo u Srbiji, već i
u zemljama gde su zbirke njegovih stripova bile objavljivane u oko četrdeset
izdanja koja su se pojavila u SAD, Italiji,
Francuskoj, Velikoj Britaniji, Portugaliji, Španiji, Nemačkoj, Grčkoj, Poljskoj,
Mađarskoj, Hrvatskoj, i drugde. Gost
brojnih festivala stripa, kao i umetničkih
manifestacija uopšte (autor je kataloga
za srpski paviljon na Venecijanskom
bijenalu 2013. godine), svoje radove je
predstavio i na samostalnim i grupnim
izložbama širom sveta.
Počev od 2003. godine, Aleksandar
Zograf objavljuje po dve strane stripa
u beogradskom nedeljniku Vreme, ali
takođe nastavlja da se bavi i organizovanjem brojnih kulturnih dešavanja u svom
rodnom gradu, gde već više od deset
godina, zajedno sa Kulturnim centrom
Pančeva, uređuje najpre internacionalni festival autorskog stripa GRRR!, a

zatim i seriju dešavanja pod nazivom
GRRR!Program, na kojoj predstavlja
strip autore, izdavače i teoretičare iz
zemlje i sveta.
‘’After the exhibition at the French
Institute in Belgrade this spring, I was
invited to present the same material in
my hometown. This is the path that led
to my first solo exhibition in Pančevo,
even though, years ago,I had solo
exhibitions in Rome, Paris, Seattle, San
Francisco and who knows where else.
However, I think the real fun is that
nothing in my work had some regular
and normal course.’’
Since 2003, Aleksandar Zograf publishes comics in the Belgrade weekly
Vreme, but also continues to be
engaged in organizing various cultural
events in his hometown, where for
more than ten years, together with
the Cultural Center of Pančevo, he
organized, firstly, international comics
festival GRRR!, and then a series of
events titled GRRR!Program, which
serves as a showcase for comic book
authors, publishers and scholars from
the country and the rest of the world.

Saša Rakezić, who draws comics under
the pseudonym Aleksandar Zograf,
became famous for his work in the
early nineties,not only in Serbia but
also in countries where the collections
of his comics were published, a total of
forty publications that have appeared
in the United States, Italy, France, UK,
Portugal, Spain, Germany, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, and elsewhere.
Guest of numerous festivals of comics
and art events in general (he is the
author of the catalogue for the Serbian
Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2013),
his work has been presented at the
solo and group exhibitions around the
world.

Najnoviji Grrr!Program predstavlja
izložbu stripova inspirisanih filmom i

nezavisnoj strip sceni, koja će ovom prilikom publici predstaviti svoj rad. Nakon
toga će biti promovisana i dva najnovija
strip izdanja lokalne produkcije.
On Friday,September 5th, starting at
7pm, Gallery Elektrika (Vojvode Putnika 7, Pančevo) will host another series
of events titled Grrr!Program, this
time as part of Pančevo Film Festival.
The second edition that the Grrr!Program will present is Little Red Riding
Hood (published by Komiko), a story in
pictures created by Vuk Palibrk, who is
also the author of visual identity of this
year’s Pančevo Film Festival.
Prva knjiga je Doživljaji Mike Miša, reprint izdanje koje je priredio beogradski
istoričar stripa, Zdravko Zupan. Nakon
što je 1928. godine prvi tonski crtani
film Steamboat Willie postigao svetski
uspeh, 1930. je usledila i strip produkcija inspirisana junakom ovog filma
– Mikijem Mausom. Već 1932. godine,
beogradski dečiji list Veseli četvrtak je
počeo da objavljuje strip serijal domaćih
autora (isprva Ivana Šenšina i Božidara
Kovačevića), čiji je junak Mika Miš, srpski
alter ego Mikija Mausa. Knjiga u izdanju
strip edicije „Zlatno doba” i Kulturnog
centra Pančeva po prvi put na jednom
mestu objedinjuje sve nastavke ovog
stripa, uz tekstove čiji su autori Zdravko
Zupan, Saša Rakezić alias Aleksandar
Zograf, i istraživač i istoričar Diznijeve
produkcije, Didier Ghez.

After the first sound cartoon Steamboat Willie achieved worldwide success
in 1928, comicbook productions inspired by the hero of the film – Mickey
Mouse – were created in 1930. Just two
years later, Belgrade children’s magazine Happy Thursday began publishing
a comic book series by local authors
(originally Ivan Šenšin and Božidar
Kovačević) whose hero was Mika Miš,
Serbian alter ego of Mickey Mouse. The

Strip autorka Li Kenedi rođena je u
Njujorku. Još od ranog detinjstva bila
je fascinirana stipovima iz novina i
magazina, a sama je počela da crta
čim je mogla da drži olovku. Nastavila
je sa crtanjem privatno i za prijatelje,
ali kada je bila mlađa nije postojalo
tržište za njene alternativne, uglavnom
autobiografske radove, i bilo je skoro
nemoguće naći prostor gde bi se crtanje
stripova moglo izučiti.
U Londonu objavljuje karikature i ilustracije za knjige, dok se stripovima
bavi u slobodno vreme, u pauzama
dosadnih poslova kojima se izdržavala.
Zatim je, ranih devedesetih, otkrila
London Cartoon Centre, te je nakon
studiranja na istom počela da samostalno
izdaje knjige stripa i serijale kao što su
Little Girl Blues, Wage Slave i Inner City
Pagan.
Nakon što joj je jedan strip objavljen u
Comics Compendium-u, bila je impresionirana otkrićem priča Alas Aleksandra
Zografa o ratu u bivšoj Jugoslaviji.
Od tada je više puta gostovala na
pančevačkom Grrr! festivalu stripa koji
je organizovao A. Zograf, a nekoliko
njenih stripova je objavio i lokalni nedeljnik
Pančevac.
Kod kuće, u Londonu, nastavlja sa
crtanjem i žvrljanjem stripova koji se
uglavnom bave snovima i svakodnevnim
životnim iskustvima i događajima. Njen
rad se može videti u brojnim antologijama, kao što su Girly Comic u izdanju
FactorFiction Press-a, i Fanny i Women
Out Of Line izdanjima Knockabout-a,
ali i na raznim samostalnim izložbama
koje je tokom godina imala u Londonu,
Njujorku i, naravno, Pančevu.
PAFF PANČEVO FILM FESTIVAL
New York-born British cartoonist Lee
Kennedy, was fascinated from infancy
by newspaper strips, and started drawing comics as soon as she could hold
a crayon. She kept it up privately and
for friends, but in her youth there was
no outlet for her alternative, mostly
autobiographical work, and it was almost impossible to find places to learn
cartooning as a trade.
In London, she published a few spot
cartoons and illustrations for books
while doing strips in her spare timeand
making a living at menial jobs. Then, in
the early 90s, she discovered the London Cartoon Centre and after studying
there, began to self-publish comic
books like the Little Girl Blues, Wage
Slave and Inner City Pagan series.
When one of her comics was published
in Comics Compendium, she was impressed to discover Aleksandar Zograf’s
Alas stories of war in former Yugoslavia. She has since several times been
a guest at the PančevoGRRR! comics
festival, organized by A. Zograf, and had
some strips published in a local weekly
magazine Pančevac.
At home in London she continues to
produce ‘doodles’ and strips, mostly
dealing with dreams and the mundane
events of life. Her work appears in many
anthologies, including Girly Comic from
FactorFiction Press, and the Fanny and
Women Out Of Line publications from
Knockabout, and has appeared in exhibits in London, New York, and, of course,
Pančevo.

MALI FILM
MALI FILM je edukativni program za
decu i mlade, namenjen uzrastu od 5
do 14 godina, koji za cilj ima popularizaciju filmske umetnosti kod najmlađe
publike. Kroz interaktivne radionice,
koje rezultiraju kratkim animiranim ili
igranim filmovima čiji su autori upravo
učesnici radionice, ovaj program učesnike „uvlači” u svet pokretnih slika i čini da
bolje razumeju filmsku umetnost.
Sve praktične stvari koje deca budu radila ili pravila imaće i teorijsko objašnjenje, odnosno odgovor na to zašto su i
kako određeni proces ili pojava bitni u
procesu pravljenja filma. Pre svakog dela
radionice, gledaće se unapred pripremljeni primeri na osnovu kojih će onda biti
postavljana pitanja, sa ciljem da se
uspostavi nekakav odnos prema odgledanom materijalu.
Radionice su prilagođene uzrastu, te se
učesnici dele u dve grupe:
- Predškolski uzrast i uzrast nižih razreda
osnovne škole (5-10 godina)
- Uzrast viših razreda osnove škole (11-14
godina)

za niže razrede osnovne škole (5-10
godina)
Animiranje priče, likova i prostora / Prvi
korak je upoznavanje dece sa nekim od
optičkih igračaka kao što su zooetrop,
taumatrop i fantasmaskop, što se radi
da bi se na zabavan i plastičan način deci
otkrili mehanizmi po kojima film funkcioniše. Deci se zatim daju instrukcije i uz
pomoć predavača svako od njih treba da
napravi neku od manje zahtevnih igračaka ili „animiranu knjižicu” (takozvani flip
book). Male predmete čiji su deca autori
ona će moći da ponesu sa sobom kao
proizvod radionice.

INSTRUKTORI
1. deo - izmišljanje priče
Radionica počinje gledanjem kratkog
filma, nakon koga se vrši analiza dela:
gde se radnja događa, ko su likovi kakvi
su odnosi između likova... Po pitanjima koja su izvedena iz analize, počinje
rad na izradi priče. Grupa za početak
ima zadatak da sastavi nešto nalik na
kratak sinopsis za svoju priču, a nakon
uspostavljenog opisa, unutar grupe neko
će dobiti zaduženje da postavi konkretnije
odrednice glavnog lika (kako on izgleda,
šta želi), drugi će se baviti time gde se
radnja dešava i zašto je baš ta lokacija
pogodna za prethodno osmišljeno i tako
dalje. Onog trenutka kada grupa ima sve
potrebne detalje, od svoje priče počinje
da pravi neku vrstu stripa (po ugledu na
pojednostavljen story-board). Sledi uvod
o podeli posla na filmu i opis najvažnijih
zanimanja, te se deca iznova unutar
grupe dele po tome šta će ko raditi
na svom filmu - neko će glumiti, neko
snimati, neko režirati, neko će se baviti
scenografijom i tako dalje.
2. deo – snimanje priče
Uz jednostavne kostime i minimalnu
modifikaciju scenografije koja bude zatečena u samom prostoru održavanja radionice (korišćenje postojećih sredstava),
sve priče će biti odglumljene, snimljene
i režirane. Glavni deo procesa montaže
biće - uz objašnjavanje i komentarisanje
- obavljen pred decom, a muzika i zvučni
efekti biće odabrani u skladu sa onim
šta novonastali „filmski timovi” smatraju
da je prikladno. Deca će imati priliku da
gotove filmove čiji su autori ponesu sa
sobom kao proizvod ove radionice.

SMALL FILM
as a product of the workshop.
SMALL FILM is an educational program
for children and young people, intended
for the children aged 5 to 14 years,
which aim is to popularize the art of film
among the youngest audience. Through
interactive workshops that will result
in short and animated films whose authors are the young participants of the
workshop, this program is “pulling” the
participants into the world of moving
images and is offering them better
understanding of filmmaking.
All the practical things and objects that
children are going to do or make will have
a theoretical explanation and an answer
to why and how a particular process or
phenomenon is important in the process
of making the film. Before every part of
the workshop, we will screen prepared
examples on which questions will be
asked in order to establish some kind of
relationship with the watched material.
Workshops are age-adjusted, and the
participants are divided into two groups:
- Preschool and lower grades of primary
school (5-10 years)
- Higher grade primary school (11-14
years)

Animation of stories, characters and
sets / The first step is to introduce
children to some of the optical toys such
as zoetrope,thaumatrope and fantasmascope, which is a fun way to discover
the mechanisms by which the film works.
The children are then given instructions
and, with the help of trainers, each of
them has to make some of the less
demanding toys or “animated book” (the
so-called flip book). The children will be

Part 1 - inventing stories inventing
stories
The workshop begins with short film
screening, followed by an analysis:
where the action is happening, who the
characters are, what are the relations
between the characters... By answering
these questions, the work on the story
begins. The group then has a task to
write a brief synopsis of a story and a
short description. The individuals inside
of each group will then get the specific
assignments, so someone will have to
set the characteristics of the main character (how he looks, what he wants), the
others will deal with the time where the
action is happening and why this particular location is suitable for the pre-conceived story, and so on. After the group
has all the details of the story, they are
starting to turn it into a kind of a comic
book (after the simplified story-board).
What follows is an introduction to the
division of work in the process of making
a film, and a description of the most
important professions. Children inside
each group are divided by rolesinfilm-making– some will act, another will
shoot, some will direct, some will deal
with the set, and so on.
Part 2 – shooting the stories
With simple costumes and minimal modification of the set that is found in the
area where workshops are taking place
(usage of existing resources), all the
stories will be portrayed, recorded and
staged. The main part of the film editing
process will be performed in front of the
children, with explaining and commenting,and music and sound effects will be
selected according to what the emerging
“film teams” believe is appropriate. Children will have the opportunity to be the
authors of the completed films, and keep
the product of this workshop.

je pevačica, tekstopisac i muzičarka sa
eklektičnim repertoarom pesama, od

Bolivudskih hitova. U prošlosti se bavila
vizuelnim umetnostima što se spojilo
sa njenim muzičkim stilom, a najbolje se
ispoljava kroz nastupe. Pohađala je kurseve ilustracije i neko vreme se bavila
ilustracijom, stripom i animacijom.

THREESOME je nova srpska grupa koja
donosi zvuk eksplozivnog surf-panka

već bili uključeni u rad nezavisne muzičke scene. Ono što je počelo samo kao
slušanje bendova kao što su Ventures,

offers a combination of live and electronic music. The London-based label
Cosmicsounds released his track Soul
Music. His single New Blues conquered
the national top lists while he appears
in the Serbian film When I Grow Up,
I’ll Be a Cangaroo. He is a founding
member of band Afterfunk. Under the
alias Tubaćin he released the album
Panonian Sea Diver. The single and the
music video of this album climbed to
the #1 of MTV Adria’s top list.
THREESOME is a new Serbian combo
that delivers the sound of explosive
surf punk that doesn’t care much about
time or place. The three members of
the band have been involved with the
indie music scene for several years.
What started as just listening to bands
such as Ventures, Dick Dale & The DelTones, Slacktone, Man or Astroman?,
and watching The Bambi Molesters
performing live, ended up with forming
a band that gives its vision of what surf
rock should sound today. Adriatica
is their debut full-length CD release,
packed with 12 blistering surf rock
instros, some with a slight punk/indie
rock influence.
NEUTRON is the moniker of Bojan
Muslin, a multimedia artist from
Belgrade. His sets combine house and
techno, modern and retro. He is preparing a special set for PAFF, where he

KURT RURAL is a secret audiophile and
DJ who performs from time to time at
film festivals in the region. His identity
is still unknown since he appears under
different aliases, and never takes off his
Clark Kent mask. He prefers the most
the dirty and broken rhythms from the
rural corners of the planet.
